Sun rising over a green field The Maryland Board of Revenue Estimates (BRE), comprised of the Comptroller, State Treasurer, and Secretary of Budget and Management, is responsible for estimating State revenues three times per fiscal year - September, December, and March - for the current fiscal year and the following fiscal year. The BRE revenue forecasts are among the most important reports in State government. The forecasts inform the work of the Governor and General Assembly in setting State spending levels and priorities that impact every resident of Maryland.
