Mission: To become the model of state agencies for efficient, reliable, equitable, and secure technology services.

The Office of Information Technology Strategy & Services is responsible for the overall management and direction of the information technology efforts of the Comptroller of Maryland. This program supports three data centers, network infrastructure and security, systems, end point management, data services (storage, backup, recovery, security), web development, and all technology initiatives of the Comptroller's Office. This program provides the technical expertise to analyze, design, develop, implement, and maintain the information technology solutions that support the business needs of the Comptroller of Maryland and provide enhanced services to Maryland taxpayers.

In correlation with the Transition Report, strategies will focus on the modernization of legacy technology, data transparency and analysis to improve equities, processes, and accuracy of tax filings; implementation of enterprise solutions to replace Payroll ERP, FMIS, SMART, legacy website, case management, and document management systems.

Annapolis Data Center (ADC) Operations provides mainframe computer services for its parent agency, the Comptroller of Maryland, as well as many other State agencies.
