Comptroller Franchot to Spend Today in Hagerstown

Visits scheduled for Discovery Station and Hoffman's Quality Meats

WHO:

Comptroller Peter Franchot

WHAT:

Mr. Franchot's Hagerstown tour will start with a visit to the Washington County Register of Wills, where he will extend his congratulations on the grand opening of the new office and thank Register Jason Malott and his staff for their dedicated service.

The Comptroller will then head to Discovery Station for a tour of the hands-on children's museum with executive director Brittany Wedd. Named the Washington County Chamber of Commerce's Nonprofit of the Year, the museum offers children of all ages an interactive learning environment focusing on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) activities and cognitive development.

Mr. Franchot will wrap up his visit at Hoffman's Quality Meats. Owner Jason Trippett will receive a proclamation recognizing Hoffman's contributions to the local community and the state of Maryland for nearly a century.
