Laytonsville Businesses on Comptroller Franchot's Agenda

Stadler Nurseries, The Family Room, and Just Riding Along Bicycle Shop to receive proclamations

WHO:

Comptroller Peter Franchot

WHAT:

Mr. Franchot will begin his day at Stadler Nurseries where he will present a proclamation to co-owner David Stadler, honoring the garden center's 87 years in business. Founded in 1932 in Wheaton, the Stadler family created a thriving business which now includes three locations. The Stadler family generously works with charitable organizations to strengthen the communities they serve by providing grants, and participating in fundraisers with local non-profits.

Next he will meet Kim and Corrine Glab, mother and daughter owners of The Family Room and present them with a proclamation in honor of their first anniversary. The Glabs combine a local hangout for kids with amenities for everyone, including a farmer's market, ice cream and coffee shop, and an artists boutique.

Finally the Comptroller will visit Just Riding Along Bicycle Shop (JRABS) where he will present a proclamation to business owner Travis Evans, a pioneer in the bicycle business. Mr. Evans has redefined what a bike shop is and how it should serve its consumers.
