Cruzin' For A Cause Founder to Receive Cecil County Schaefer Award Tuesday

Franchot also will give proclamations to two Havre de Grace businesses

Comptroller Peter Franchot

Comptroller Franchot will spend Tuesday in Harford and Cecil counties, beginning with a visit to two businesses in Havre de Grace where he will present proclamations to the owners of Big House Signs and Salon Marielle.

Later, the Comptroller will head to Elkton to present the William Donald Schaefer Helping People Award for Cecil County to Missy Reynolds, founder of Cruzin' for a Cause. Started in 2012 in memory of Reynolds' father, Robert, a lifelong automobile enthusiast who died of leukemia, the annual vintage car show raises funds for Union Hospital cancer patients struggling to pay their medical bills. Missy Reynolds also is a five-time cancer survivor and dedicated volunteer at Union Hospital.
