RELIEF Act Information

The RELIEF Act of 2021, as enacted by the Maryland General Assembly and signed into law by the Governor, provides direct stimulus payments to qualifying Marylanders, unemployment insurance grants to qualifying Marylanders, and grants and loans to qualifying small businesses. This webpage provides information on payment eligibility and additional information regarding the Comptroller of Maryland's execution of the RELIEF Act.

Please note that individual income tax forms related to the RELIEF Act signed into law on February 15, 2021, are now ready. These forms may be accessed here, or by clicking the link below. Any further updates related to tax year 2020 forms will be posted here with relevant links as they become available.

The EITC Assistant is a calculator that will help a taxpayer determine if they are eligible for the state Earned Income Tax Credit. This assistant will walk taxpayers through Adjusted Gross Income (AGI), dependents, and general information to determine eligibility. The assistant is available in both English and Spanish.
