Wide Angle Youth Media to Receive Proclamation Monday

Comptroller Franchot to recognize innovative youth engagement program in Baltimore

On Monday afternoon Mr. Franchot will visit the non-profit Wide Angle Youth Media in Baltimore where he will present a proclamation to Executive Director Susan Malone and Program Director Tia Price. He will meet with staff and get a behind the scenes look at the programs students are participating in.

For nearly two decades Wide Angle Youth Media has engaged more than 5,000 Baltimore City youth, empowering them to amplify their voices constructively to navigate the social, generational and cultural divides they face. Extensive training in media techniques and communications equipment provide a solid foundation for pursuing a career in the related media fields.
