Comptroller to Make Stops in South Baltimore and Arbutus Tuesday

Franchot will tour Arnold Packaging and Habitat for Humanity

WHAT:

The Comptroller will make two stops on either side of the Baltimore City/County line Tuesday afternoon, beginning at Arnold Packaging, a fourth-generation, family-owned business that specializes in packaging supplies and containers. He will present a proclamation to owner Mick Arnold honoring the company's 85th year of operation and their commitment to serving the Baltimore community.

Next, the Comptroller will tour Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake where he will meet with CEO Mike Posko on the progress they are making renovating and rebuilding homes in economically underserved neighborhoods in the region. Mr. Posko will also detail the HabiCorps workforce development program, an apprenticeship program for carpentry and other building trades that creates lifelong career opportunities and serves as a platform for job placement and economic stability.
