Franchot to Visit Salisbury Pub Monday

Local favorite The Irish Penny will receive proclamation as part of Small Business Appreciation Week

WHAT:

The Comptroller will stop by The Irish Penny Pub & Grill on Monday afternoon to present a proclamation to owners Jeff Trivits and Scott Urban in recognition of creating classic homemade Irish dishes with an Eastern Shore twist to Salisbury patrons for more than six years. Since opening in 2012, "The Penny," as it is affectionately known, has received numerous accolades from local publications, and is also known for live music and karaoke and trivia nights.

The visit is the first in a series of small business stops throughout the state for Mr. Franchot during Small Business Appreciation Week, which runs May 5-11.
