Comptroller Franchot to Visit Three Kent County Businesses

Proclamations to be presented in Galena and Chestertown

Comptroller Peter Franchot

Comptroller Franchot will recognize two businesses in Galena and tour a manufacturing plant near Chestertown Friday afternoon.

He will first stop by Galena Animal Medical Clinic, operated by Dr. Lucille Otero, DVM. It has served as a hub for northern Kent County pet owners since 2005. The clinic treats a variety of four-legged animals, including dogs, cats, rabbits and exotic pets.

The Comptroller will then stop by Cross Street Food and Garden, operated by Sarah Willey. The shop offers a hearty mix of locally grown produce, baked goods, natural foods and organic products.

Next, Mr. Franchot will tour Chesapeake CNC Manufacturing Center Inc., located near Chestertown. The 18,000-square-foot facility makes precision Swiss screw machine parts and has operating for 15 years.
