Franchot to Attend Fort Washington Baptist Church Ribbon Cutting

Visits to Bowie International Festival and Taste of Bethesda also on Saturday's agenda

WHAT:

Comptroller Franchot will take part in a celebration Saturday of Fort Washington Baptist Church's 54th anniversary and the newly completed annex. He will join Pastor Darin V. Poullard and the architectural team on a tour of the annex that was built to accommodate the growing congregation.

Next, Mr. Franchot will deliver opening remarks at the annual Bowie International Festival held at Allen Pond Park. He will join Mayor Fred Robinson on a tour through the festival's artisans, vendors and entertainers, while talking with attendees who flock to Bowie for the popular annual event.

The Comptroller will then head to Montgomery County to drop by the 30th annual Taste of Bethesda. This epicurean delight features samplings from 50 area restaurants, along with musical performances and children's activities highlighting the area's culture and charm.
