Comptroller Franchot Tours Eastern Shore Businesses Thursday

Stops at TechOps Specialty Vehicles and Sudlersville Laundromat scheduled

WHO:

Comptroller Peter Franchot

WHAT:

Mr. Franchot will spend Thursday on the Eastern Shore touring Tech Ops Specialty Vehicles with Director of Business Development Bill Krampf. TechOps builds emergency response communication vehicles for first responders and the military, ensuring effective command and control operations.

Later, the Comptroller heads to Sudlersville Community Laundromat to present a proclamation to community members behind the creation of this centrally located facility. Wi-Fi connectivity, made possible by Atlantic Broadband in conjunction with the Sudlersville Volunteer Fire Company, enables students to complete homework and receive tutoring while parents finish laundry. More than $200,000 in state and local grants, along with private donations, brought the project to completion in the former middle school.
