Franchot to Honor Catonsville Gift Shop and Auto Mechanic on Friday

Pat's Porch sells gifts, candy and unique home decor; Caton Auto Clinic has been a community staple since 1975

WHAT:

Comptroller Peter Franchot will present proclamations to two Catonsville businesses on Friday afternoon. His first stop will be Pat's Porch, a shop owned by Beth Reymann offering cards, gifts and candy made by local artisans. Pat's Porch is well known for its Maryland-centric theme. The Comptroller then will visit Caton Auto Clinic, owned by Ken Steinbach. The auto repair shop has been in operation since 1975, received the 2014 Service/Retailer of the Year Award from the Catonsville Chamber of Commerce and is one of the largest independent repair facilities in the state. The business was founded by Mr. Steinbach's father, Albert Steinbach, who was a World War II veteran.
