Comptroller Franchot to Throw First Pitch at Baltimore Little League

Annual Liberty Road baseball parade marks beginning of favorite pastime

WHO:

Comptroller Peter Franchot

WHAT:

Saturday morning will find Mr. Franchot celebrating America's favorite pastime in the Owings Mills/Randallstown area where he will help kick off the little league season with the Liberty Road baseball parade and later saying a few words and throwing out the first pitch. This league is one of the strongest in Baltimore County and has mentored many young men who have gone on to successful collegiate baseball and academic careers.

The Comptroller then will visit the 32nd Street Farmers Market in Baltimore to support local farmers and vendors who help drive the local economy. For nearly 40 years, this year-round market has been keeping Baltimoreans supplied with farm fresh and locally crafted goods.
