Franchot to Present Anne Arundel County Cornerstone Award Monday

WHAT:

On Monday afternoon, Comptroller Franchot will present the Cornerstone Award for Local Business Excellence in Anne Arundel County to Homestead Gardens. Second-generation owner Brian Riddle will accept the award on behalf of the family-owned and operated business that opened in 1973.

It is the largest enclosed garden center in the Baltimore-Washington, D.C. metropolitan region and is deeply involved in the community, supporting youth agricultural programs like 4-H and FFA, as well as numerous other nonprofit organizations, schools and local sustainability initiatives, like the South River Restoration Project.
